Four From Softball Earn All-Region Recognition

Colbert Named D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year

Four members of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team have received All-East Region recognition, as postseason awards were announced by the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) and D2CCA (Division II Conference Commissioners Association).

Junior Julianna Colbert (Burrillville, R.I.) completed her season with a 20-8 record and a 2.05 ERA, while her 241 strikeouts tied the program's single-season record. Colbert was named First Team All-East Region by both organizations and earned D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year honors. Her 241 strikeouts matched the mark set by Ali Maloof, the only other pitcher in program history to be named D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year.

Senior Abby Lineman (Doylestown, Pa.) hit .338 this season with a team-leading nine home runs and 38 RBIs. Lineman, who split time between catcher and third base, was named the D2CCA East Region First-Team Utility Player and earned Second Team honors at catcher from the NFCA.

Junior Kaysie DeMoura (Taunton, Mass.) was honored as the Second-Team third baseman by both the NFCA and D2CCA. DeMoura hit .399 this season, the highest batting average for the Penmen in seven seasons, while collecting a team-high 71 hits, including 14 doubles, two triples, and one home run. She drove in 32 runs, second-most on the team, and posted a team-best .472 on-base percentage.

Sophomore Alyssa Abbott (Hudson, N.H.) also earned Second-Team outfield recognition from the D2CCA. Abbott hit .331 with six doubles, one home run, and 26 RBIs.

NFCA member coaches from each region voted on those teams, while D2CCA awards are decided by athletic communications professionals across the region. All honorees will now be considered for All-America status.

The Penmen completed the 2026 season with a 34-23 overall record, including a 22-13 mark in the Northeast 10. SNHU qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive season and for the eighth time in program history under 21-year head coach Deb Robitaille. Earlier this season, Robitaille eclipsed the 500-win mark for her career.
