Junior Jordyn Carroll (Moultonborough, N.H.) piled up 27 kills and 18 digs, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team halved a pair of three-set matches at the Christian Brothers Patriot Day Classic on Friday at Canale Arena. The Penmen blanked LeMoyne-Owen College, 3-0, before falling to host Christian Brothers University by the same score.
KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire led, 1-0, in the match and was up four in the middle set when two straight kills by freshman Valentina Bugnatto (Wilmington, N.C.) powered a 3-0 flurry that gave the Penmen a commanding 2-0 lead.
- The opening set with Christian Brothers was tied, 23-23, when the Buccaneers scored three of four to take the set.
