Female Athlete of the Week: Shelby Cole - Women's Lacrosse - Jr., M
Shelby Cole (Gilford, N.H.) recorded 12 points on 10 goals and two assists during a 2-0 week for women's lacrosse. Cole scored six times and dished an assists for seven points, including the 100th of career, in Monday's 20-5 victory at Holy Family University. She added four goals and a helper in a 17-10 win at Bloomsburg University on Sunday.


Male Athlete of the Week: Nick Schwartz - Baseball - Jr., C/DH
Nick Schwartz (Massapequa, N.Y.) hit .692 (9-13) with two RBI and six runs scored, while slashing .750/.923/1.673, during a 3-1 week for baseball. Schwartz was nearly impossible to get out in the three-game sweep of Fairmont State University, going 8-for-9 with a pair of walks, two RBI and six runs scored, including a 5-for-5, two-walk, RBI, five-run performance in Saturday's doubleheader.

Notes:
- Second-seeded women's basketball went 1-1 last week, knocking out seventh-seeded Saint Thomas Aquinas College, 65-44, Friday, before falling in the NCAA East Regional semifinals to third-seeded and No. 19/22 Thomas Jefferson University, 62-49, Saturday. The Penmen matched the program record with their 22nd victory of the season.
- Senior Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) averaged 18.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while making 46.7 percent (14-30) of her shot from the field, including 44.4 percent (6-11) from behind the arc. Timberlake matched her career best with a game-high 26 points (10-18 FG, 6-11 3-FG), two rebounds, four assists and two steals, as the Penmen record the program's first NCAA postseason win Friday. She added 00 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3-FG), three rebounds, two assists and two steals against the Rams.
- Junior Jess Knight (Hanover, Mass.) posted 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks, while shooting 37.1 percent (13-35) from the floor and 80 percent (4-5) at the line. Knight notched 13 points (6-15 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and a pair of blocks against the Spartans, before leading the way with 17 points (7-20 FG, 3-3 FT) and eight boards in the Jefferson loss.

Notes:
- Men's basketball split a pair of games last week at the NCAA East Regional Championship. The third-seeded Penmen scored a 78-64 victory Saturday against sixth-seeded and No. 19/24 St. Thomas Aquinas College, before bowing out with a 73-46 loss to second-seeded and No. 18/25 Bentley University on Sunday.
- Junior Matt Becht (Vienna, Va.) went for a game-high 24 points  (9-15 FG, 5-10 3-FG, 1-2 FT) to lead four scorers in double figures against St. Thomas Aquinas.
- Graduate student Ryan Layman (Wrentham, Mass.) tallied 12 points (6-7 FG), six rebounds and a career-high five assists against STAC.
- Junior Noah Kamba (Lynn, Mass.) also scored 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-5 FT) versus the Spartans.
- Sophomore Derrick Grant (Plainfield, N.J.) matched his career high with 12 points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 5-6 FT) and grabbed six rebounds against Bentley.

- Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) competed in the mile Friday at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va.. She finished the mile run in 4:55.13, but failed to qualify for the final, finishing eighth in the first heat.

- Softball went 0-4 last week, as it was swept in a pair of doubleheaders by Georgian Court University on Friday and East Stroudsburg University on Sunday.
- Junior Ari Ferrier (Middleboro, Mass.) was 3-for-9 with a walk and a run scored, as she hit .333 for the week and was on base at a .400 clip. She was 2-for-6 and scored a run in the doubleheader against East Stroudsburg.
- Junior Alyssa DiMauro (Chester, N.H.; RBI, run) and sophomore Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.) had the only multi-hit performances of the week, both going 2-for-3 in a 7-2 loss to ESU in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.

Notes:
- Baseball, ranked ninth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II Top 25 and 15th in the Collegiate Baseball Pre-Season NCAA Division II Poll, went 3-1 last week, falling to East Stroudsburg University, 3-0, to close the series Monday, before sweeping Fairmont State University in a three-game set, outscoring the Falcons 40-4.
- Junior Nick Schwartz (Massapequa, N.Y.) hit .692 (9-13) with two RBI and six runs scored, while slashing .750/.923/1.673, during the week. Schwartz was nearly impossible to get out in the three-game sweep of Fairmont State, going 8-for-9 with a pair of walks, two RBI and six runs scored.
- Juniors Mike LaRocca (Vero Beach, Fla.) also put together an impressive week, batting .643 (9-14) with four RBI and five run scored, to go with a slash line of .706/.857/1.563.
- Junior Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) hit .400 (6-15) with three RBI and three runs scored.
- Junior Dylan O'Sullivan (Manchester, N.H.) also hit .400 (4-10) with three RBI and three runs scored.
Senior Jeffrey Praml (Bridgewater, N.J.) started two games last week, going 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA, as he allowed two runs on 10 hits and eight walks, while striking out seven, over 12.0 innings. In his 13-0 win over the Falcons on Sunday, Praml hurled 6.0 shutout innings, allowing five hits, while striking out four and walking a pair.
- Junior Brandon White (Simsbury, Conn.) allowed one run on seven hits over 6.0 innings, fanning seven and walking only one, as the Penmen posted a 16-4 win in Saturday's first game.
- Graduate student Josh Roberge (Chelmsford, Mass.) defeated Fairmont State, 11-0 in game two Saturday, with 6.0 innings of shutout ball, striking out six and walking only two, while relinquishing just three hits.


Women's Lacrosse (4-0, 0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Women's lacrosse, receiving votes in the latest ILWomen/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Poll, went 2-0 to notch its first 4-0 start in program history. The Penmen rolled to a 20-5 victory at Holy Family University on Monday, before defeating Bloomsburg University, which was receiving votes in the poll, 17-10, on Sunday.
- Senior Angelina Graziano (Riverhead, N.Y.) notched 15 points on nine goals and six assists, in addition to collecting four ground balls. Graziano tallied a career-high nine points, including the 100th of her career, on six goals and three assists in the win at Holy Family. In the victory at Bloomsburg, she registered six points on three goals and three assists.
- Senior Skylar Renaud (E. Waterboro, Maine) caused five turnovers during the week, as the Penmen held their opponents to a total of 15 goals. Renaud also added nine goals and three assists for 12 points, in addition to scooping up six ground balls and winning five draw controls. Renaud forced three turnovers, while recording two goals, two assists, two ground balls and a draw control at Holy Family. Renaud then tallied two caused turnovers, a career-high seven goals, an assist, four ground balls and five draw controls against Bloomsburg. Renaud had a career-best eight points against the Huskies, including the 100th of her career. She was chosen as the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week earlier Monday.
- Junior Shelby Cole (Gilford, N.H.) also recorded 12 points on 10 goal and two assists. Cole scored six times and dished an assists for seven points, including the 100th of career, against the Tigers on Monday. She added four goals and a helper versus the Huskies.
- Junior Megan Petko (Monroe, N.Y.) stopped 14 of 28 shots in the two wins. She made nine saves on 14 shots over the opening 35:17 at HFU, before freshman goalkeeper Megan Mollman (Chester, Md.) turned aside two of three in the final 24:43. Petko collected none stops against Bloomsburg.


Men's Lacrosse (1-0, 0-0 NE10)

- Men's tennis opened its four-match Florida trip Saturday with a 7-0 loss to 22nd-ranked Florida Southern College.
- Sophomore Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) battled to three sets at No. 1 singles, falling to Chris Fok Kow, 3-6, 6-3, 5-7.
- The Penmen earned a 6-2 doubles win on court No. 3 with freshman Phillipp Roeder (Augsburg, Germany) and graduate student Aron Ouwejan (Wervershoof, The Netherlands) defeating JP Fujiwara and Danny Thomas, 6-2.

Notes:
- Men's golf was idle last week and is back at it March 20-21 at the Ralph Hargett Invitational at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, N.C.


Completed Seasons

Women's Soccer (6-6-5, 3-4-5 NE10)

Notes:
- Women's soccer finished 6-6-5, including 3-4-5 in the NE10, and earned the No. 8 seed for the NE10 Championship. The Penmen traveled to the top-seeded College of Saint Rose for the quarterfinal round and suffered a 3-0 defeat.
- The Penmen did enough, however, to collect their eighth NCAA Championship berth, including fifth straight. SNHU collected the No. 7 seed and traveled to play second-seeded Franklin Pierce University in the opening round of the NCAA East Regional, absorbing a 3-1 loss.
-SNHU began the season 5-0-0 for the second straight campaign and just the third time since 1994.
- Junior Alyssa Anderson (Londonderry, N.H.) and graduate student Ai Inoue (Tokyo, Japan) were selected to the NE10 All-Conference Third Team, while freshman Georgia Greene (Clifton Park, N.Y.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.


Men's Soccer (8-6-4, 5-3-3 NE10)

Notes:
- Men's soccer went 8-6-4, including 5-3-3 in NE10 play, earning the No. 4 seed and a quarterfinal home contest in the NE10 Championship. SNHU defeated the fifth-ranked College of Saint Rose in penalty kicks, but suffered loss at top-seeded Franklin Pierce University in the semifinal round.
- The Penmen put together a stretch in which they were unbeaten in seven of eight matches (4-1-3) from Sept. 17-Oct. 15.
- Junior Luca Shubitidze (Leipzig, Germany), sophomore Isnaba Namussé (Fogo, Cape Verde) and graduate student Jaime Selva (Alicante, Spain) all claimed NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors.
- Freshman Philipp Hermann (Bruckmuehl, Germany), grad student Mikel Cortazar (Barakaldo, Spain), senior Gabe Pinhancos (No. Attleboro, Mass.) and grad student Julio Betar (Melbourne, Australia) received Third Team recognition.
- Sophomore Preston Neal (Windham, N.H.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.

Field Hockey (8-11, 7-6 NE10)

Notes:
- Field hockey finished the season 8-11, including 7-6 in NE10 play. The team won six of its final nine games to make a late playoff push and wound up securing the No. 8 seed for the NE10 Championship.
- The Penmen traveled across town to play top-seeded Saint Anselm College and actually grabbed a 1-0 lead, but the Hawks would tie it and then snap a 1-1 tie with just 1:36 on the clock in the fourth quarter.
- Sophomore Annemartine Christis ('s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) collected NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors for the second consecutive season, while freshman Emma Peeters (Wageningen, The Netherlands) landed a spot on the Third Team. Peeters also received an All-Rookie Team nod and was joined by classmate Anne Wiersma (Velhoven, Netherlands).

Women's Volleyball (19-8, 9-3 NE10)

Notes:
- Women's volleyball put together a historic season, finishing 19-8 to set a new program record for wins that surpassed the 1986 squad. The Penmen qualified for the NE10 Championship for just the sixth time, won their first NE10 postseason match, hosted an NE10 postseason match for the first time, received their first NCAA postseason berth, claimed their first NCAA postseason victory, captured their first NCAA East Region title and advanced to the NCAA National Championships in Seattle for the first time, falling to top-seeded and nine-time NCAA National Champion Concordia University, St. Paul in an NCAA Championship quarterfinal match.
- Redshirt-junior Ana Pimenta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) earned NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors, while graduate student Sara Montefameglio (Turin, Italy) and sophomore Deanne Wilson (Buffalo, N.Y.) were recognized with Third Team nods.


Cross Country

Notes:
- Women's cross country turned its best season in program history, winning its first NE10 Championship and NCAA East Region titles, as part of a four-win campaign out of the seven meets they competed in. The squad made the NCAA National Championship for just the second time (2019) and finished 32nd at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Wash., while placing first among East Region teams.
- Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) claimed individual NE10 (21:26.7) and NCAA East Region (21:55.4) crowns, while finishing 88th, and first of the 23 runners from the East Region taking part in the race, at Nationals (21:57.0). Those three runs slot into the program record book as the third-, seventh- and eighth-fastest 6Ks.
- Corcoran was named the USTFCCCA East Region Athlete of the Year, as well as the NE10 Athlete of the Year, while head coach Rich Marcello was tabbed the USTFCCCA East Region Coach and NE10 Coach of the Year. Freshman Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Year.
- Corcoran was joined on the NE10 All-Conference First Team by juniors Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) and Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.). Junior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) claimed a spot on the Second Team, with graduate student Rose Pitman (Sherill, N.Y.) and senior Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.) receiving Third Team accolades.
- The men captured one win, but finished in the top five four times this season. They were fourth at the NE10 Championships and fifth at the NCAA East Regionals to narrowly miss out on an NCAA National Championship berth.
- Graduate student Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) placed third at NE10s (25:03.1) and second at the NCAA East Regional (31:41.1) to qualify for Nationals as an individual. He finished in a time of 31:21.10 to place 108th. The mark set a new personal best for Logan by 20 seconds and was just four seconds shy of matching the school record. It stands as the third fastest 10k in school history. Logan was the first of 24 runners representing the East region to finish.
- Logan was chosen as an NE10 All-Conference First Team honoree, while freshman Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) and sophomore Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) were named to the Second Team.


Men's Ice Hockey (10-17, 9-11 NE10)

Notes:
- Men's ice hockey finished 10-17, overall, including 9-11 in league play. The team ended the season winning five of its final eight.
- The Penmen earned the No. 4 seed and hosted an NE10 Championship first round contest, but had its season ended with a 3-1 loss to fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce University.
- Senior George Thurston (Plymouth, Mass.) received NE10 All-Conference First Team honors for the second straight year after leading the team with 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points. Senior defenseman Tim Usalis (Danvers, Mass.) earned Second Team accolades, as he scored six goals and handed out eight assists for 14 points. Freshman Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ontario) collected an All-Rookie Nod. He finished with four goals and 13 assists (17 points) to rank third on the Penmen in scoring.
