RESULTS
SYRACUSE,
N.Y. - The Southern New Hampshire golf team finished 14th
out of 21 schools at the ECAC Division II Championship held Sunday
and Monday at Drumlins Country Club. The Penmen, who finished
eighth among 12 Northeast-10 programs, posted a two-day score of
613. Le Moyne College, the host institution, won the event
with a two-day total of 585.
Leading the way for Southern New
Hampshire was Andrew Maziarz (Cumberland, RI), who
carded a two-day total of 149 to finish seven strokes over par on
the par-71 layout and in a tie for 26th. His first-day total
of 73 was just two strokes behind first round leader Brian Mackey
of Dominican College.
Matt Lucchese
(Woburn, MA) posted 75s on both days for a two-day total of 150 to
finish tied for 29th. Mike Gravelese
(Atkinson, NH) led the Penmen on day two with a three-over 74 and
carded a 153 for the tournament to tie for 44th. D.J.
Lantz (New London, NH) finished with a score of 163 while
Shane Winslow (Portsmouth, NH) ended the
tournament with a 164.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Sunday and Monday when it competes in the Northeast-10
Championship at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro, MA.
