MANCHESTER, N.H. - Revital Carmon finished with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead UMass Lowell to a 67-52 Northeast-10 women's basketball victory over Southern New Hampshire University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Wednesday night.  The River Hawks evened their overall mark at 10-10 overall and 5-10 in NE-10 play, while the Penmen saw a four-game win streak snapped and are now 11-9 and 7-8 in the league.

Liron Asher was the other River Hawk in double figures as she finished with 13 points.  Tamaria Menefee and Krissy Little each finished with nine points for UMass Lowell.  Julia Houghtaling (Franconia, NH) led Southern New Hampshire with 16 points, including a perfect 8-8 effort from the line.  She also grabbed six rebounds.  Sara Tucker (Red Hook, NY) added 13 points for the Penmen.

SNHU held a 14-6 lead just over five minutes into the game following three free throws from Stephanie Houghton (Manchester, NH), but seven straight River Hawk points capped by a basket by Tamaria Menefee made it 14-13.  UMass Lowell scored six straight to take a 31-23 lead with 34 seconds left in the first half following a free throw by Menefee, and the guests would take a 31-25 lead into halftime.

The Penmen would close to within four, 35-31, with 12:56 remaining on a pair of free throws by Tucker.  The River Hawks responded by scoring seven unanswered points and a layup by Little with 11:21 left gave UML an 11-point cushion, 42-31.  UMass Lowell took its largest lead with 2:20 left when a conventional three-point play by Carmon capped a 7-0 run and gave the River Hawks a 64-47 advantage.

The River Hawks took advantage of 23 SNHU turnovers that led to 28 points.  UMass Lowell shot 6-13 from three-point land (46.2%) and held a 30-26 rebounding advantage.

SNHU returns to action Saturday when it hosts Assumption College in a 1:30 game at the SNHU Fieldhouse.
