RESULTS
BREWSTER, Mass. -
Sophomore D.J. Lantz (New London, NH) of the
Southern New Hampshire University golf team currently sits fourth
out of 216 golfers after day one of the New England Intercollegiate
Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at The Captains Golf Course
Monday. The Penmen sit fourth among Division II schools and
14th overall out of 44 schools in Divisions I, II and
III.
Lantz fired a four-over 76 on the
par 72 layout to finish in a 10-way tie for fourth, four shots back
of co-leaders Pat Fillian of Sacred Heart and Michael Amato of
Brown. He is tied for the top score amongst Division II
players with Marchant deVillier and Lee Wanklyn of Post University.
Junior Shane
Winslow (Portsmouth, NH) is currently tied for
20th with a score of 78. John
DeVito (Nashua, NH) and Jeff Newell
(Chicopee, MA) shot identical rounds of 85, while Andrew
Maziarz (Cumberland, RI) fired an opening round 86.
The NEIGA Championship concludes
Tuesday.
