BREWSTER, Mass. - The Southern New Hampshire University golf team finished second amongst Division II schools and 14^th out of 44 schools at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship held at the Captains Golf Club Sunday and Monday.  The Penmen finished with a two-day score of 635, three strokes behind Division II champion Post University.

Sophomore D.J. Lantz (New London, NH) led the Penmen, finishing second amongst Division II players and 21^st overall with a two-day total of 154 after shooting a 78 on Tuesday.  Shane Winslow (Portsmouth, NH) finished tied for 35^th in the field of 219 golfers with a score of 157 (78-79), while John Devito (Nashua, NH) had SNHU's low round on Tuesday, improving nine strokes to fire a 76 en route to a two-day total of 161, placing him in a tie for 72^nd.

Andrew Maziarz (Cumberland, RI) improved his round eight strokes on Tuesday and fired a 78 en route to a two-day total of 164, placing him in a tie for 95^th.  Jeff Newell (Chicopee, MA) had a two-day total of 168, good for 124^th overall.

The NEIGA Championship closed out the fall season for SNHU.
