BOX SCORE

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Top-ranked and host Le Moyne College jumped out to a 7-1 first quarter lead and never looked back as it posted a 21-7 Northeast-10 men's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon.  The Dolphins, who are the defending Division II national champions, improved to 11-0 and 8-0 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 5-5 and 4-4 in the league.

Mike Ball (Salem, NH) led Southern New Hampshire with five goals, while Spencer Rennick (Peabody, MA) totaled a goal and an assist.  John Delanoy (Lansdale, PA) had SNHU's other goal.  Mike McDonald led Le Moyne with four goals and five assists.

Southern New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead 1:20 into the game when Mike Ball scored off an assist from brother Sean Ball (Salem, NH).  McDonald would tie the game for Le Moyne 1:15 later and that opened the floodgates as the Dolphins scored seven straight in the first to open a 7-1 lead after one quarter.  The hosts would then score the first four goals of the second quarter to go up 11-1 with just under five minutes left in the first half.  Le Moyne led 12-3 at halftime and led by double digits most of the second half.

Eric Gunst (Exeter, NH) played the first 39:29 in goal for SNHU and made three saves while taking the loss.  Mickey Hover (Montgomery, NJ) played the final 20:31 and made five saves.  Le Moyne outshot SNHU 55-23.

Southern New Hampshire plays its regular season home finale Wednesday night when it hosts Bentley College in a 7:00 contest.
