MANCHESTER, N.H. -
The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team edged Saint
Anselm College 5-4 in a Northeast-10 match Thursday night at the
SNHU courts. The Penmen improve to 3-5 overall and in the
league, while the Hawks are now 0-7 and 0-6 in the league.
SNHU and Saint Anselm split six
singles matches and the Penmen were victorious in two of three
doubles matches. David Spaggiari (Manizales,
Colombia) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles, while
Luis Ramirez (San Cristobal, Venezuela) was a 6-1,
6-3 winner at No. 2 singles. Mike Riccardi
(Londonderry, NH) was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 3 singles.
Spaggiari and Ramirez teamed up for
a 8-2 win at No. 1 singles, while Riccardi and Sam
Gould (Londonderry, NH) were 8-1 winners at No. 2 doubles.
