In the nightcap, SNHU would score in five of seven innings and scored two runs apiece in the third and sixth frames.  Ashley Bernstein (Stoughton, MA) was 2-4 at the plate for the Penmen with two RBI as she belted a two-run home run in the third, while Ashley Guertin (Manchester, NH) was 3-4 with an RBI.  Laurie Boland (Worcester, MA) added a two-run single in the sixth.  Elena Anderson (Salem, WI) also added a pair of hits and knocked in a run.

Bernstein notched her eighth victory of the season on the mound, allowing 10 hits but surrendering just two runs in a complete game effort.

In the opener, Assumption broke open a 2-1 game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 6-1 lead.  The Greyhounds took advantage of four hits, a Penmen error and a walk.  The hosts took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first before SNHU scored a run in the top of the fifth when a triple by Karissa Bettencourt (Norton, MA) scored Michelle Maranto (East Hampstead, NH).  The other Penmen run came in the sixth when Bernstein led off with a single and scored on a double by Anderson.
