DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Freshman
Jacquelyn Dussault (Manchester, NH) paced the
Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team with a
five-kilometer time of 20:36 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on
Saturday afternoon. Dussault finished 114th out of
310 runners while the Penmen finished 27th out of 41
teams.
Dussault, a graduate of Manchester
Memorial HS, posted the ninth-fastest 5K time in program history in
just her second collegiate race. Senior Svea
Dellea-Messner (Windham, NH) ran a personal best of 20:45
to come in 123rd, the 11th fastest time in
program history.
Freshman Emma
Lundberg (Vinalhaven, ME), a graduate of Newfound Regional
HS, finished the course in 21:14, tying her for the 20th
best time in the SNHU record books. Melissa
Hurley (Ashaway, RI) ran a time of 21:44, while
Allison Trafton (Salem, NH) ran the best time of
her collegiate career, finishing in 23:58. Jennifer
Adams (Standish, ME) rounded out the Penmen finishers with
a time of 24:45.
SNHU returns to action on September
27 when it travels to the Bryant Invitational.
