The SNHU women's track & field team hosted the second annual Ed Daniels Classic on Saturday at Ouellette Stadium, highlighted by strong individual performances and Senior Day recognition for four graduating student-athletes.
TRACK
- Graduate student Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) led SNHU with a victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing the line in 11:18.42. Junior Natalie Sicard (Nottingham, N.H.) added a fourth-place finish in the event.
- Sophomore Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H.) had a fourth-place finish in the 400 meters, clocking 58.24 seconds.
- Sophomore Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) turned in one of the top performances of the day, placing second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.96.
- In the sprints, senior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) recorded a runner-up finish in the 200 meters (25.34), while freshman Jordyn Wall-Carty (Woodridge, N.Y.) posted a strong showing in the 100-meter preliminaries, a personal best 12.96 seconds.
- SNHU's 4x400-meter relay team of Sippel, junior Kay Wheelock (Milford, Mass.), Wall-Carty, and freshman Lily Bower (Billerica, Mass.) placed third overall in 4:10.14.
- In the hurdles, Wheelock added a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:07.42), while freshman Erin Kelley (Braintree, Mass.) also competed.
FIELD
- Freshman Lindy Moreland (Gorham, Maine) posted a strong performance in the high jump, clearing 1.52 meters to finish among the top competitors.
- In the jumps, Wall-Carty recorded a 12th-place finish in the triple jump (9.77m), while freshman Ciara Pina (Taunton, Mass.) also competed.
- Senior Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.) led the throwers with a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a new career best (11.85m) and added a fifth-place showing in the discus.
- Freshman Autumn O'Connor (Hooksett, N.H.) also competed in the shot put, while junior Kayla Franks (Derry, N.H.) turned in a third-place finish in the javelin (37.96m).
SENIOR DAY
- SNHU recognized four seniors prior to the meet: Brooke Bibbo, Aveline McCabe (White Bear Lake, Minn.) and Hope Sinclair, honoring their contributions to the program both on and off the track. Also honored was Men's Cross Country runner, senior Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) for his accomplishments including back-to-back NCAA Elite Scholar Athlete Awards in 2025 and 2026.
NOTES
- Prior to the start of competition, the program honored the legacy of Coach Ed Daniels, who passed away in June of 2024. Daniels was instrumental in the development of the SNHU cross country and women's track & field programs and was recognized with a moment of silence alongside members of his family in attendance.
- Obernesser earned her fifth consecutive win in the Steeplechase in her final home meet with the Penmen.

- The Penmen return to action next Saturday, April 18, at the George Davis Invitational in Lowell, Massachusetts. SNHU continues to prepare for the Northeast 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for May 1–2 at Southern Connecticut.
