EAST HARTFORD, Conn.
- Buoyed by a sweep of all three doubles matches, the
Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team posted an 8-1
win over Pace University Friday afternoon. The Penmen
improved to 3-2 overall and in the NE-10, while the Setters are now
0-5 and 0-4 in the league.
SNHU jumped out to a 3-0 lead after
doubles play. David Spaggiari (Manizales,
Colombia) and Luis Ramirez (San Cristobal,
Venezuela) were 8-4 winners at No. 1, while Michael
Ricciardi (Londonderry, NH) and Sam Gould
(Londonderry, NH) were 8-1 winners at No. 2. Jeff
Bunker (Salem, NH) and Colin Stone
(Manchester, NH) were 8-0 winners at No. 3.
Spaggiari, Ramirez, Ricciardi,
Bunker and Stone all posted singles victories for the Penmen.
SNHU returns to action March 28
when it hosts Assumption College in a 1:00 match.
