EASTON, Mass. -
Graduate student Colin Stone (Manchester, NH) and
junior David Spaggiari (Manizales, Colombia) of
the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team were named
to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference team, it was
announced on Sunday morning. Stone was named a First Team
selection at No. 6 singles, while Spaggiari was a Second Team
choice at No. 1 singles.
Stone, in his lone season with the
Penmen program, posted a 4-1 record at the No. 6 position after
making the move to the position late in the season. Overall,
Stone posted a 6-5 singles mark on the season, including a 5-5
record in NE-10 play.
Spaggiari notched a 9-1 record
during conference play during the regular season, with his only
loss coming to Northeast-10 Player of the Year Tim Fayed of
Stonehill College. Overall, he posted a 10-1 mark in singles
play.
SNHU finished fifth in the
Northeast-10 regular season standings and made its first-ever trip
to the NE-10 semifinals with a 5-2 win over Saint Michael's in the
quarterfinal round.
