MANCHESTER, N.H.—Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) recorded 18 kills and
only one error to lead the Southern New Hampshire University
volleyball team to a 3-1 win against Assumption College on Saturday
afternoon. With the win, the Penmen improve to 8-7 overall
and 4-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the loss drops the
visiting Greyhounds to 9-19 overall and 0-10 in NE-10
play.
The Penmen took the first game by a score of 25-13. After
dropping the second game 22-25, Southern New Hampshire rallied to
win the third and fourth games by scores of 25-22 and 25-16,
respectively.
In addition to posting a game-high in kills, Dluginski also
posted a game-high in blocks with five. After today's effort,
she is now just 18 kills short of a 1,000 career kills.
Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) tallied a career-high 45
assists for the Penmen on the afternoon, averaging 11.25 per game
on the afternoon. Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) posted ten kills
offensively for the Penmen, while Danielle
Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) added eight kills and four
blocks for the Penmen. Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) led the team in digs with
13.
The Penmen hit at an impressive .322 on the afternoon, while
limiting the Greyhounds to an attack percentage of .143.
Mary Johnston totaled 11 kills in the loss for Assumption, while
Lauren Ostafin and Aimee Drainville added eight and seven kills,
respectively. Kristin Flatekval dished out 29 assists for the
Greyhounds, and Steph Whooten posted a game-high 16 digs.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Wednesday as they
travel to Saint Michael's College for a 7:00 p.m. Northeast-10
matchup.
