COLCHESTER, Vt.—Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) matched her career-high of 21 match kills to lead the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team to a 3-1 win at Saint Michael's College on Wednesday. With the win, the Penmen improve to 9-7 overall and 5-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the loss drops the host Purple Knights to 8-11 overall and 3-7 in NE-10 play.
After totaling a combined 13 kills in the first three sets, Dluginski added eight kills in the fourth game to reach her 1000th career kill. She now stands at 1,003 total kills in her four years with the Penmen program. Dluginski also finished the evening with three blocks and four digs.
Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) recorded a career-high 51 assists en route to the 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 26-24 win for the Penmen.
Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) tallied a season-best 14 kills and five blocks, while Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) added ten kills and 13 digs for Southern New Hampshire. Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) finished with nine kills, while Shayla Belanger (Hudson, N.Y.) and Ashlee Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) each contributed nine digs.
Lindsey Frazier and Samantha Clairemont led Saint Michael's offensively with ten and nine kills, respectively. Jessica McLeod dished out 33 assists for the Purple Knights, and Lilly Lowe finished with a team-high ten digs.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Friday, traveling to Merrimack College for a 7:00 p.m. Northeast-10 Conference tilt.
