– The Southern New Hampshire University golf team
finished 10th out of 12 schools competing at the
Northeast-10 Golf Championship Sunday and Monday at En-Joie Golf
Course. The Penmen posted a score of 327 on day one and 332
in Monday's second round.
Shane Winslow
(Portsmouth, N.H.) was the highest SNHU finisher, placing in a tie
for 29th. On day one Winslow, the defending
champion of the event, was three shots back with a 74, but fired an
85 on Monday.
Nick Burke
(Sandwich, Mass.) and Vince Kimball (Lebanon,
N.H.) finished tied for 44th in the field with identical
168 scores. Jeff Atkinson (Lancaster, N.H.)
posted a 170 to finish tied for 47th, while
Spencer Plante (Springvale, Maine) had a two-day
total of 172 to finish 52nd overall.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Sunday and Monday when it hosts the fourth annual SNHU
Penmen Invitational at Country Club of New Hampshire in Sutton.
