PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Alex Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) reached the quarterfinals of the B singles draw of the USTA/ITA East Regional on Sunday.  He reached the quarterfinals with an 8-2 win over Josh Garcia of University of the Sciences then reached the quarterfinals after Chris Martin of Stonehill was forced to retire.  Mukdaprakorn was eliminated by Temur Nanikashvili of Queens College 8-0.

In B doubles action, a pair of Penmen teams were eliminated in the second round.  Mitchell Dobek (Westfield, Mass.) and Jared Wright (Norwell, Mass.) were eliminated in a tiebreaker by Sean Pahler and Petar Golijanin of Merrimack.  John Niland (Cheshire, Conn.) and Tim Hamilton (Hampton, N.H.) were eliminated by another Merrimack duo, Tim McHugh and Jon Ravenelle.
