Boston, Mass.—The Southern New Hampshire
University men's cross country team finished 21st out of
25 teams with a team average of 31:54.20 in the 43rd
Annual Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park. Mike Giberti
(Derry, N.H.) led the Penmen with a time of 30:43 in the 8k
race.
Jason
Bays (Cresco, Pa.) finished with a time of 31:28,
followed by Doug Coulters
(Weare, N.H.) and Kyle McNerney
(Granby, Mass.) who came in at 32:25 and 32:26, respectively.
Sam
Tarrant (Cleverdale, N.Y.) was the next Penmen runner
to cross the finish line with a time of 32:29.
Tyler
Parks (Moultonborough, N.H.) came in next, finishing
with a time of 32:45, followed by Kevin Coyle
(Salem, N.H.) with a time of 33:26 and Michael Smith
(Lynnfield, Mass.), who finished at 33:31. Jason
Grotton (China, Maine) ran a 34:31 for the Penmen, and
Brian
White (Windham, N.H.) finished with a time of
38:05. Matt Gray
(Haverhill, Mass.) finished 51 seconds later, and Robert Gray
(Haverhill, Mass.) rounded out the Penmen lineup with a time of
40:01.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action next weekend, traveling
to Gordon College on Saturday for the Pop Crowell
Invitational. The race begins at 11:30 a.m.
