BOYLSTON, Mass.
– Freshman Ernie Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) of
Southern New Hampshire University fired his second straight 76 en
route to a seventh place finish at the Northeast-10 Golf
Championship held Sunday and Monday at Cyprian Keyes Golf
Club. As a team, the Penmen placed 10th
overall.
Lupi, who was the second-highest
finishing freshman behind medalist Louis Kelly of Adelphi
University, earned Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference honors
with his finish. He posted identical scores of 76 on the
par-72, 6871-yard layout.
Nick Burke
(Sandwich, Mass.) posted a two-day score of 161, firing a 78 on day
one, to finish tied for 28th while James
Hickey (Manchester, N.H.) carded a 79-85-164 to finish in
a tie for 37th.
Cody Carlson
(Wellesley, Mass.) had a two-day score of 173 to finish tied for
52nd, while Chris Weilandt (Franklin,
Mass.) was 57th with a two-day total of 179.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action on October 12 when it competes at the Franklin Pierce Fall
Invitational at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, N.H.
