EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule with an 8-1 win over Pace University in a match played at the East Hartford Tennis Club Friday. The Penmen won their third straight to improve to 4-1 overall and in the Northeast-10, while the Setters are now 0-4 and 0-2 in the league.
The Penmen swept all six singles slots and took two of three doubles matches. Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindio, Colombia) and Alex Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) were 8-3 winners at No. 1 doubles, while John Niland (Cheshire, Conn.) and Tim Hamilton (Hampton, N.H.) were 8-1 winners at No. 3 doubles.
The SNHU men's tennis team returns to action March 6 as it kicks off a five-game Florida swing with a match against Vincennes University.
