MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team will open its 2011 season on Saturday, September 3, when it hosts Queens (N.Y.) Following the contest with the Knights, SNHU opens Northeast-10 play with a bang, hosting crosstown rival Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, September 7.  Three days later the Penmen entertain 2010 national semifinalist Dowling before closing out the homestand with games against Merrimack College (September 14) and 2010 national quarterfinalist Franklin Pierce University (September 17).

Other key games on the schedule include a home date with Southern Connecticut on October 15 and the regular season finale on October 29 against American International College.  The Northeast-10 Tournament kicks off on Tuesday, November 1.

Southern New Hampshire is coming off a 2010 campaign that saw it go 12-3-5 overall and make its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.  The Penmen advanced to the second round of the tourney before falling to Franklin Pierce on the road in penalty kicks after battling the Ravens to a 1-1 tie.
