Men's Lacrosse Hosts No. 11 Saint Anselm in Home Opener Tonight

MATCHUP: The Penmen open home action by hosting cross-town rival, No. 11 Saint Anselm College, at 7:00 p.m. in Northeast-10 Conference action.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire is still searching for a win, after dropping the first four games of the season including Friday?s 12-0 loss to No. 2 Le Moyne...freshman Crosby Nicholson made his first appearance in net for the Penmen against Le Moyne and let in just two goals in 30 minutes of action...fellow rookie Corey Allen leads the team offensively this season, totaling five points from three goals and two assists...sophomore Rob Murray has scored a team-high four goals...junior Ryan Woodford has scored three times and has added an assist for the Penmen...he also has a team-best 13 ground balls...freshmen Jeremy Buckley and Casey Sweeney have both added two points apiece this season, Buckley on two goals and Sweeney on a goal and an assist...juniors John Cuozzo and Nick Popovici have both tallied a goal on the season...senior Brendan O'Brien has seen a majority of the action in net this season and has totaled a .524 save percentage and an 11.43 goals-against average...the Penmen are averaging 4.25 goals and 24 shots per game.

THE HAWKS: No. 11 Saint Anselm has won their last four games, including a 6-5 win on February 27 over then- No. 6 NYIT...Andrew Messner leads the Hawks with 18 points from nine goals and nine assists...Geoff Kennedy had added eight goals and three assists for 11 points...Ryan Mee ranks third in scoring on the Hawks roster with eight points from four goals and four assists...Jake Mallinson and Tyler Steinetz have both tallied five goals this season while adding two assists and one assist, respectively...Jonathon O'Reilly is a mainstay in net for the Hawks and has totaled a .672 save percentage and a 4.63 goals-against average in five appearances...the Hawks are averaging 8.60 goals and 35.4 shots per game.

HEAD TO HEAD:  The Penmen are 8-14 all-time against the Hawks...last season the Penmen downed the Hawks 7-6, posting their first win against their cross-town rival since 2006...Ryan Woodford notched the first goal of his career to help SNHU to the victory.
