THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire went 5-5 in the last 10 road games, including Thursday's split with Merrimack...the Penmen are led offensively by freshman Ali Maloof who is batting .371 with a team-high 53 hits and 29 runs...junior Kelsea Cheney leads the team with 32 RBI and ranks third in the Northeast-10 Conference in home runs with 11...she is batting a team-second best .348...senior Amanda Barton is batting .333 with 41 hits this season...junior Kate Stanley became the third player this season to reach 100 career hits against Franklin Pierce alongside Cheney and junior Cristy Jenkins...Stanley is batting .319 with seven home runs and 43 hits...sophomore Dolores Mattice has a team-best 2.89 ERA...she is 10-7 in 22 appearances and has recorded 110 strikeouts this season...she became the fifth pitcher in program history to total 200 strikeouts in a nine-strikeout performance against Merrimack on Thursday...Maloof is 12-9 with 25 appearances in the circle...she ranks third in the NE-10 in strikeouts with 129...she has compiled a 3.17 ERA this season.

THE SETTERS: Pace enters today's games after splitting with Saint Anselm yesterday, winning the opener 6-5 before falling 9-5 in the nightcap…Natalie Gellos leads the Setters at the plate this season with a .367 batting average...Sabrina Gonzalez is batting .360 on the season with a team-high 49 hits and a team-leading 14 doubles…both Jeane Drury and Hana Wright have connected for nine home runs this season…Wright leads the team in runs batted in with 38…junior Chelsea Shea and freshman Caitlin McCann have split action in the circle for the Setters this season…McCann has totaled an 11-4 record in the circle with 100.2 innings pitched and a 3.48 ERA…Shea is 6-6 in 19 appearances with a 3.01 ERA over 81.1 innings…the Setters are batting .370 as a team with a .473 slugging percentage. 

HEAD TO HEAD: The Penmen are 9-14 all-time against the Setters...last season, the Penmen lost game one 8-4 and won game two 7-5 at Pace...Kelsea Cheney batted 8-8 on the day with two singles, a double, and a two-run home run.
