THE PENMEN:  The Penmen have dropped their last three games, including both ends of a doubleheader against Assumption on Sunday...junior Kelsea Cheney became the 12th player in program history to reach 100 career hits with a first-inning single in game one against American International...she now sits in a two-way tie for ninth place in career hits with 107, sharing the slot with Kathy Kiley, who played from 1991-94...Cheney ranks second on the team in batting average this season with a .357 average....six of her 25 hits on the season have been home runs...she trails freshman Ali Maloof, who is batting .364 on the season with a team-high 28 hits...lone senior Amanda Barton ranks third on the squad at the plate with a .344 batting average...Cheney and Kate Stanley lead the team in RBI with 16 apiece...Stanley is batting .268 and has connected for three home runs...Maloof has seen the post action in the circle this season with 72.2 innings pitched...she has compiled a 3.28 ERA and ranks third among Northeast-10 Conference pitchers with 65 strikeouts...sophomore Dolores Mattice has pitched 47.1 innings and has a 3.55 ERA with 46 strikeouts...freshman Rebecca Sherwood is 4-0 in the circle with 31 innings pitched and a 2.94 ERA...as a team, the Penmen are batting .290 on the season while opponents bat .286 against the SNHU pitching staff.

THE FALCONS: Bentley scooped up its second Northeast-10 Conference win of the season on Sunday in an 8-3 win in game two against Pace...Laura McDonough led the Falcons with a game-high three hits and four RBI in the win...she ranks third on the team at the plate this season with a .263 batting average...Shannon Connor leads the team at the plate with a .364 batting average and a team-best 20 hits...Erica Thibodeau is batting .279 with 17 hits and leads the team in runs batted in with 11...Samantha Tierney has connected for 13 hits this season and is batting .241 in 54 at-bats...Jackie Gauthier is batting .218 with 11 hits and four RBI on the season...Carly Taitz has pitched a team-high 68.2 innings and has compiled a 4.59 ERA with 24 strikeouts...Caitlin Betz has thrown 55.2 innings and owns a 5.03 ERA with a team-high 47 strikeouts...the Falcons are batting .229 as a team while opponents are batting .310 against the Bentley pitchers.

HEAD TO HEAD: The Penmen are 23-32 all-time against the Falcons...SNHU posted two wins last season by scores of 4-1 and 5-2...Kelsey Griffin and Dolores Mattice both pitched two-hit complete games to help the Penmen to victory.
