ENDICOTT, N.Y.
– The Southern New Hampshire University golf team is one of
four teams tied for fifth place after day one of the 2012
Northeast-10 Conference Golf Championship Sunday at En-Joie Golf
Course. The Penmen, with a team score of 313, is tied with
American International College, Franklin Pierce University and Le
Moyne College. UMass Lowell currently leads the championship
with a 301, four strokes ahead of second place Adelphi
University. Defending champion Bentley University is third,
one shot back of the Panthers, while Saint Anselm College is fourth
with a 310.
Junior Scott
Underhill (Bedford, N.H.) and sophomore Ernie
Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) each posted scores of 76 on day one
to sit with three other players in ninth place, three shots back of
the day one lead. Junior Vince Kimball
(Lebanon, N.H.) posted an 80 to sit tied for 25th.
Nick Burke
(Sandwich, Mass.) carded an 81 for Southern New Hampshire, while
Cody Carlson (Wellesley, Mass.) recorded an
89.
