BREWSTER, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team sits 26th out of 38 teams after day one of the 2013 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at The Captains Golf Course. The Penmen posted a team score of 327 on the par-72, 6776-yard Starboard Course.
Freshman John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) led the Penmen on day one with a 79 to sit in a tie for 65th out of 189 players. Senior Scott Underhill (Bedford, N.H.) carded an 81 to sit in a tie for 86th, while senior Cody Carlson (Wellesley, Mass.) shot an 83. Juniors Ernie Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) and Austin Fox (Hooksett, N.H.) each wrapped up their rounds with a score of 84.
The NEIGA Championship, which concludes SNHU's fall season, wraps up Monday on the par-72, 6724-yard Port Course.
