SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Seniors Christian Rodriguez (Manchester, N.H.) and Dom DiMaggio (Rome, N.Y.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team were honored as the league's Player and Goalkeeper of the Week Tuesday following SNHU's 3-0 win over Wilmington (Del.) University in the second round of the NCAA Championship.
Rodriguez scored a pair of goals in the victory, putting the Penmen on top 2-0 1:58 before halftime with his first goal before adding an insurance tally in the 74th minute. DiMaggio recorded three saves en route to his third straight shutout and seventh of the season.
Southern New Hampshire, 19-1 overall, winners of 19 straight and the nation's top-ranked team, returns to action Friday when it faces LIU Post in the NCAA East Region final at 10:00 at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa.
