Notes: SNHU was picked sixth in the Northeast-10 Northeast Division in the preseason coaches' poll…the Penmen need to replace their top three scorers, including the graduated Sloane Sorrell, who wrapped up her career second in all-time scoring (1.713) and third in rebounding (803)…Rocha (6.6 ppg) and Springfield (4.6 ppg, 3.0 apg) are the only returners who averaged more than 20 minutes per game in 2012-13…Rocha, noted as one of the Northeast-10's top defensive players, played with the Cape Verde national team in September in the FIBA AfroBasket for Women tournament, averaging 4.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game…the roster features a pair of seniors and four juniors…the newcomers consist of a pair of sophomore transfers from UMass Lowell, including Amra Elezovic, a former All-State performer at Manchester Memorial…a pair freshmen round out the newcomers…the Penmen open the season with a five-game homestand, starting Friday, November 9 against 2013 NCAA team LIU Post…the NE-10 features divisional play for the first time in 2013-14, and all four conference teams that reached the NCAA tournament last season (Assumption, Bentley, Franklin Pierce, Stonehill) are in the same division as SNHU, the Northeast Division…SNHU's annual Penmen Pink Day for breast cancer awareness is February 15 against Stonehill.
