Men's Soccer Hosts Adelphi for Northeast-10 Semifinal Friday

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire hosts Adelphi in the Northeast-10 semifinals Friday night.

TICKETS: Ticket prices, as set by the Northeast-10 Conference, are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children and seniors and $1.00 for students of Northeast-10 member institutions with valid ID.  All SNHU students will be admitted free courtesy of the SNHU Student Government Association.

THE COACHES: Marc Hubbard is in his sixth season as head coach at SNHU...a 2003 graduate of Colgate who previously served as an assistant at New Hampshire, Hubbard has guided the Penmen to five straight NCAA appearances, the nation's second-longest active streak, and owns a career record of 94-19-13 (.798)...he is the second-winningest active Division II coach as of the start of the 2013 season...Carlo Acquista is in his seventh season at Adelphi...he has posted a 62-53-11 mark as head coach of the Panthers and was previously head coach at St. Francis (N.Y.).

THE SERIES: SNHU and Adelphi met for the first time earlier this season, and the Penmen posted  a 2-1 overtime win on Long Island...Dominic Samuel scored 7:05 into the first overtime session, while Sebastian Stezewski had the other SNHU tally...Diego Zuniga had the Panther goal in the 59th minute.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire has won 16 straight since a season-opening loss to Post, the nation's longest win streak, and downed Saint Rose 5-0 in the NE-10 quarterfinals Tuesday...the Penmen are ranked No. 10 nationally...senior Pierre Omanga leads the team and the Northeast-10 in scoring with 17 goals and three assists for 37 points...he is a three-time NE-10 Player of the Week...Brian Francolini has totaled five goals and three assists, including a pair of goals Tuesday, while Kenny Doublette has registered four goals and four assists...Mohamed Toufik has scored five times, while Sebastian Stezewski has notched three goals and three assists...Dom DiMaggio has started all 17 games in goal and owns a 0.44 goals-against average and .816 save percentage while notching four shutouts.

THE PANTHERS: Adelphi advanced to the NE-10 semifinals with a 3-0 win over Le Moyne Tuesday night...the Panthers are led by Alejandro Penzini, who has totaled seven goals and three assists for 17 points...Juan Aguiar has notched six goals and five assists, while Caelan Hueber has recorded seven goals and a pair of assists...Ahmad Salamah has seen the bulk of action in goal, starting 10 games, including the last three...he has compiled a 0.69 goals against average and .877 save percentage while recording seven shutouts.

WHAT'S NEXT: Friday's winner will meet the winner of the other semifinal between second-seeded Merrimack and sixth-seeded Franklin Pierce on Sunday at 1:00 for the Northeast-10 championship...the game will be played at the highest remaining seed.
