COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Southern New Hampshire men's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end as it fell 7-2 to Saint Michael's College in a Northeast-10 Championship First Round game Tuesday afternoon.  The Penmen close out their season with a 6-10 overall record, while Saint Michael's is now 11-4.

The Purple Knights jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter when Connor Glackin scored the first goal of the game at the 10:21 mark. SNHU answered late in the quarter with an equalizer as Corey Allen (Suffield, Conn.) notched a score from Rob Murray (Marblehead, Mass.), but Saint Michael's scored once more to close out the frame with a 2-1 lead.

Saint Michael's built on its lead once more before the half as D.J. Dauria notched the lone goal of the second quarter, and the Purple Knights took a 3-1 lead into halftime.

The third quarter brought more scoring for Saint Michael's as Pete Donnally and Evan Antolino each scored a goal. Allen recorded his second goal of the game to break up the Purple Knight's scoring, and to cut the deficit to two, but Antolino's goal boosted the lead back to 5-2 at the end of the third.

SNHU was outscored in the final frame, and Saint Michael's recorded two more goals to secure the win at 7-2 and to advance to the NE-10 Championship semi-final game.
