RIVERHEAD, N.Y.
– The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team
placed eighth out of 15 schools at the Dowling College September
Shootout held Friday and Saturday at Long Island National Golf
Course. The Penmen carded a 322 in Friday's first round
and finished with a two-day total of 659.
The Penmen were led by junior
Ernie Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) who finished
25th in the field of 77 with a two-day total of 161,
including a 77 in the first round. Freshman John
Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) had a two-day total of 165 to
place tied for 36th, while senior Scott
Underhill (Bedford, N.H.) finished one shot back, carding
a 79 on Friday and a two-day total of 166.
Senior Cody
Carlson (Wellesley, Mass.) had a two-day total of 169,
while junior Austin Fox (Hooksett, N.H.) rounded
out the Penmen finished with a score of 172.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Sunday and Monday when it competes in the 2013
Northeast-10 Championship at Bretwood Country Club in Keene,
N.H.
