KEENE, N.H.
– The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team
sits third out of 10 teams after day one of competition at the
Northeast-10 Golf Championship at Bretwood Golf Course
Sunday. The Penmen, who were the only team in the field to
have all five players shoot in the 70s, posted a team score of 307,
six shots back of tournament leader Bentley University (301).
Adelphi University (305) sits second, with American International
College (308) and Assumption College (312) rounding out the top
five.
Junior Ernie Lupi
(Bradford, Mass.) sits tied for sixth overall as he carded a 75 on
the par-72, 6974-yard North Course. He sits five shots back
of tournament leader Jon Stoddard of Bentley. Senior
Scott Underhill (Bedford, N.H.) sits one shot back
of Lupi in a tie for ninth, while junior Austin
Fox (Hooksett, N.H.) and freshman John
Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) each carded a 78 and sit tied for
16th. Senior Vince Kimball
(Lebanon, N.H.) shot 79 and is tied for 24th.
The Northeast-10 Championship
concludes on Monday at Bretwood.
