GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team sits first out of 12 teams at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout at Pinehaven Country Club after Friday's first round.  The Penmen posted a 303 to outdistance Franklin Pierce (306), Le Moyne (312), Dowling (316) and the host Golden Knights (319).

Senior Austin Fox (Hooksett, N.H.) and sophomore John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) sit tied atop the leaderboard with one-over 72s.  Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) is third overall with a 73.

The Saint Rose Fall Shootout concludes Saturday.
