NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Kenny Doublette (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) and redshirt freshman Nate Fournier (Belchertown, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference Monday afternoon. Doublette was named the league's Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Fournier was honored as the Rookie of the Week.
Doublette totaled four goals and an assist for the Penmen in a 2-0 week as they recorded victories over Saint Michael's College (6-0) and Assumption College (8-1). Doublette recorded a hat trick in the win over the Purple Knights, then added a goal and an assist against Assumption. He leads SNHU and the Northeast-10 Conference with 11 goals and four assists for 26 points on the season.
Fournier, who trained with the Penmen last season but did not see game action, tallied three goals in action last week. He scored the first two goals of his collegiate career against Saint Michael's, then scored in the second half of the victory over Assumption.
Southern New Hampshire, the nation's top-ranked team, returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Bentley University for a 3:00 Northeast-10 contest.
