Three From Men's Soccer Named Capital One Academic All-District

CAPITAL ONE/CoSIDA RELEASE

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Three members of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer program were named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  Graduate student Jonathan Lupinelli (Mont de Marsan, France), senior Keegan Campbell (Norton, Mass.) and junior Sebastian Stezewski (New Britain, Conn.) were all named to the team, and thus eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.

Lupinelli was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team for the second time in his career.  A Marketing major, Lupinelli has started all 15 games on defense this season and has managed to total two goals and five assists.  Over his career, he has started all 62 games, tallying three goals and 21 assists.  A two-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection, Lupinelli was a Daktronics Second Team All-American in his first season and was the winner of the NE-10 Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award in 2013-14.

Campbell, a Business Administration major, has been a two-year captain and a four-year starter on the SNHU backline.  In 82 career games, he has totaled four goals and eight assists for 16 points.  This season he has started all 13 games he has appeared in and has posted two goals and three assists.  A Daktronics Second Team All-Region and Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference selection last season, Campbell was also a member of the NE-10 All-Rookie Team as a freshman.

Stezewski, a Justice Studies major, has appeared in all 15 games for the Penmen this season and been in the starting lineup seven times.  He is the third-leading scorer on the Penmen with eight goals and four assists for 20 points, including three game-winning goals on the season.  In 49 career contests, Stezewski has tallied 11 goals and 12 assists for 34 points.

Ranked No. 5 nationally, the SNHU men's soccer program closes out the regular season Friday night when it hosts The College of Saint Rose for Senior Night in a 7:00 contest at Larkin Field.
