MANSFIELD, Mass. — Southern New Hampshire University freshman Amaris Taylor (Tulsa, Okla.) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference field hockey all-rookie team, which was announced by the Conference office on Thursday.
Taylor was recognized with all-conference accolades after putting together a solid freshman campaign. She led Southern New Hampshire in goals (4) and points (11), while finishing second on the team in assists (3). Taylor posted the Penmen's second-highest shooting percentage (.160) and also tallied the second-most shots on goal (16) Taylor also collected the game-winning goal in the Penmen's victory over Roger Williams University on Sept. 4.
Southern New Hampshire field hockey recently completed its first season as a varsity program since 1981.
