– The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team
finished play at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional
Wednesday with a score of 308. The Penmen's three-day
score of 919 places them 14th out of 20 teams at the
regional.
Junior Jake Nutter
(Bedford, N.H.) ended up as SNHU's highest finisher, posting
a three-day total of 217 (+4) to finish in a four-way tie for
11th overall. He carded a five-over 76 on the
tournament's final day. Nutter had an eagle on the
532-yard par 5 16th hole and four other birdies, but
also finished the round with six bogeys and two doubles.
Senior Scott
Underhill (Bedford, N.H.) finished with a +3 74 Wednesday
and recorded a three-day total of 224 to finish tied for
34th. John Clancy (Sandwich,
Mass.) posted a tournament-low round of 76 on Wednesday and
finished at 242 for the regional. Austin Fox
(Hooksett, N.H.) carded an 83 Wednesday and finished at 241, while
Ernie Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) posted an 82 in round
three and finished at 248.
Southern New Hampshire was making
its fourth NCAA appearance and first since 2009.
