2015 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE
MANCHESTER, N.H. – The 2015 Southern New Hampshire University softball schedule begins on Sunday, March 1 as the Penmen kick off with a total of 12 games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla. over spring break. SNHU begins that Sunday with East Coast Conference foes Dowling College and NYIT.
After returning from Florida, the Penmen travel to West Haven, Conn. the weekend of March 14-15 as they face the University of New Haven as well as Georgian Court University for a pair of games apiece. SNHU's home opener is slated for Wednesday, March 18 with a twinbill against Queens (N.Y.) College.
The following weekend, Southern New Hampshire opens Northeast-10 play with scheduled doubleheaders at Pace University and Adelphi University. SNHU's league home opener is set to be a single contest against Saint Anselm College on Tuesday, March 24.
April sees the Penmen home for 17 of their 26 scheduled games primarily against NE-10 competition. SNHU will welcome LIU Post (April 3), Post (April 9) and Molloy (April 19) for non-league twinbills. SNHU and LIU Post played a pair of extra inning games in the NCAA regional last season, with the Pioneers prevailing twice en route to a regional title.
The eight-team Northeast-10 Championship kicks off on Tuesday, April 28 and concludes the weekend of April 30-May 2 at the top seed in the Northeast Division. The NCAA regionals begin the following weekend.
Southern New Hampshire is coming off the best season in program history in 2014, going 31-15, capturing the program's first-ever NE-10 tournament title and making its second NCAA appearance. The Penmen also earned their first-ever national ranking during the season.
