THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire has won four straight after downing Merrimack 65-61 on Saturday...Vic Wiseman leads the Penmen in scoring (11.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg) while coming off the bench in each of the first 13 games...she is shooting 50% (53-106) from the floor...Brooke Springfield is recording 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and a team-best 2.8 assists per game, while Erin Doherty is adding 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per outing...Sara Ryan has knocked down a team-high 21 three-pointers and is scoring at an 8.2 ppg clip, while freshman Catherine Stinson has reached double figures in four of the last seven games and is averaging 7.5 ppg.

HEAD COACH KAREN PINKOS: Karen Pinkos enters her 10th season as women's basketball coach at SNHU...a 1988 graduate of the University of New Hampshire who was an assistant at the Division I level for 16 years prior to coming to SNHU, Pinkos has guided the Penmen to six NE-10 Tournament appearances and won her 100th career game in the 2012-13 season.

THE PURPLE KNIGHTS: Bridgeport jumped back into the win column with a 85-65 win over Chestnut Hill last Tuesday...Tiara Aziz leads the Purple Knights in scoring with her 14.6 ppg average...she is also grabbing 4.9 rebounds per game...Jenna Hoffman leads the team in three-pointers with 21 and is scoring at a 13.5 ppg clip, while Jennifer Kucukkaya is adding 13.1 points per game.

WHAT'S NEXT: SNHU returns to action Wednesday night at 5:30 against Southern Connecticut in a game that can be seen live on NESNplus and NESN National...the Penmen then travel to American International on Saturday.

NEWS AND NOTES: December 10's win over nationally-ranked Assumption was the first win for the Penmen over a nationally-ranked foe since the 2011-12 season...Wiseman leads all bench players in the Northeast-10 in scoring...the Penmen are third in the conference in points per game allowed (60.9) and sixth in rebound margin (+5.2)...SNHU is 7-0 this season when scoring at least 60 points.
