2015 SNHU BASEBALL SCHEDULE
MANCHESTER N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University baseball team will start its 2015 campaign the weekend of February 13-15 where they take on Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Penmen are slated to play 50 games this season.
After the team's inaugural series of the 2015 season against Nova Southeastern, the team will play at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from February 20-22. The Penmen will play Bridgeport, Felician, and Mercy that weekend.
The baseball squad finishes February and heads into March taking part in the Dinwiddie Challenge in Sutherland, Virginia from February 27-March 1. During the time in Virginia, the team will play Saint Thomas Aquinas, West Chester, and Philadelphia.
Following the Dinwiddie Challenge, the Penmen play a road contest against Lynn University on March 4 before traveling to Lantana, Florida where they will play Wilmington (Del.), Felician and LIU Post from March 5-7. The following weekend on March 13-14, the team heads to Cary, North Carolina for two more contests against Felician, while also facing Dominican (N.Y.) and Dowling at the USA Baseball Complex.
Northeast-10 Conference play begins with a doubleheader on the road against Southern Connecticut on March 21. The following day, the Penmen will visit New Haven for another NE-10 Conference doubleheader. The Penmen open up their home schedule when it faces crosstown rival Saint Anselm three times on the weekend of March 28-29. The Penmen conclude the month with a road contest at Saint Michael's on March 31.
The team opens April with a ten game homestand from April 3-April 14. Notably the Penmen take on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, April 8. Other teams during the homestand include Bentley, Bridgeport, Le Moyne, Saint Rose, and Saint Michael's. The weekend of April 18-19 the Penmen will head to Assumption College for three games, while heading to Franklin Pierce later that week on Wednesday, April 22. The Penmen end their home schedule with three games against Merrimack on April 25-26, and end their regular season schedule with a four game road trip facing Saint Michael's once before heading to Stonehill May 1-2 for three games.
The Northeast-10 tournament will take place from May 5-9 with the highest seed hosting each round. The first round will start on May 5, with the championship concluding the tournament on May 9.
Southern New Hampshire is coming off a 2014 season where they posted a 41-14 record. The team locked up their first Northeast-10 Conference championship in program history and hosted the NCAA East Regional in 2014 for the third straight season.
