NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week on Tuesday. It marks the second time this season Nutter has received the honor.
Nutter fired a three-under 68 in the lone round of the Saint Rose Fall Shootout on Saturday after Friday's first round was washed away to earn medalist honors for the sixth time in his career. He held a three-shot lead as three players tied for second at even-par 71 in leading Southern New Hampshire to a second place finish out of 12 teams.
In eight rounds this season, Nutter has posted a 74.3 stroke average to lead Southern New Hampshire, while also posting three top-10 finishes in four events. Southern New Hampshire, which last week won the Northeast-10 Championship, has finished first or second at each of the four tournaments it has competed in this fall.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Sunday and Monday at the Franklin Pierce Shootout at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, N.H.
