NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior Nacho Hernando-Angulo (Logrono, Spain) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team was named the Northeast-10 Conference men's cross country Athlete of the Week on Monday. It is the third time Hernando-Angulo has garnered weekly laurels from the Conference after previously earning the distinction on Sept. 8 and Sept. 23.
Hernando-Angulo captured the third annual Bruce Kirsh Cup at Franklin Pierce University on Friday. He completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 15:23, which was two seconds faster than his closest competitor. It was Hernando-Angulo's third individual title of the fall, and the fifth time he was the top Penmen finisher.
Southern New Hampshire resumes its schedule on Oct. 25 when it competes in the Northeast-10 Championship at Saint Michael's College.
