Senior Erin Doherty (Marshfield, Mass.) paced four scorers in double figures with 16 points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team to an 87-48 romp over Fisher College on Saturday evening at the SNHU Fieldhouse.

Doherty was an efficient 7-for-8 from the field and 2-for-4 from the line, while adding seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Freshman Aaliyah Paxton (Hainesport, N.J.) posted a career-best 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 FT) and five rebounds, while freshman Brianna Camara (Fall River, Mass.) and junior Madi Rowan (Aliquippa, Pa.) were also in double figures. Camara recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3-FG), three assists and two steals, with Rowan also scoring a career-high 10 points (5-8 FG) to go along with two rebounds and two assists.

Aliyanah McIntosh led Fisher with a game-high 24 points, while Murphy Carroll added 14.

Southern New Hampshire opened the game with a balanced 16-2 run that featured six different scorers over the first 4:37 of play. Following a McIntosh bucket, four straight points from sophomore Jennifer Shelp (Apalachin, N.Y.) triggered a 9-0 rush that was capped by a three-point play from freshman Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) and opened the advantage to 25-4 with 2:44 on the clock in the opening half.

After a Carroll layup halted the run, Paxton scored six straight to power an 8-0 quarter-ending spurt that gave SNHU a 33-6 lead at the end of one.

The Penmen then extended the run to 28-0 by scoring the first 20 points of the second stanza – with six coming from Rowan and four each being contributed by sophomore Olivia Conrad (Hanover, Mass.) and Doherty – to bust the game open at 53-6 with 2:18 left before the half.

A McIntosh 3-pointer stopped the bleeding and started a quick 5-0 counter-run, but sophomore Mimi MacLeod (Hampton Falls, N.H.) ended the half with four straight points to send the Penmen into the locker room with a 57-11 lead.

Southern New Hampshire used a 12-3 run nearly three minutes into the second half to grab its largest lead of the night at 71-17 with 2:24 to go in the third. Five different scorers contributed during the stretch, including Doherty, who netted four points. Fisher made a small push at the end of the quarter to trim its deficit to 74-24 after three.

The Falcons would use a 14-6 blitz over a four-minute span in the final frame – with a trio of treys from McIntosh – to slash its deficit to 84-43 with just over a minute to go.

Lorenzen registered nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two assists, while Shelp added eight points (4-5 FG) and five boards. Conrad chipped in six points (3-6 FG) and five rebounds, with junior Sara Ryan (Quincy, Mass.) stuffing the stat sheet with two points (1-4 FG), a career-high nine assists, five rebounds, two steals and a pair of blocks.
