MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team opened up its spring schedule at the University of North Alabama to participate in the University Golf Classic at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals earlier this week The Penmen posted a team score of 986, finishing seventh in their first tournament of the spring portion of the schedule.
Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) held the top score for the Penmen, posting a three round score of 228, good for 19th best amongst all competitors. Nutter concluded the tournament with a third round score of 73, good for fourth best for the tournament's concluding round.
Josh LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) made his collegiate golf debut posting a three round score of 241 to follow Nutter in the standings for the Penmen. Rounding out the scores for men's golf was John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.), who finished with a score of 247, and Austin Fox (Hooksett, N.H.), who finished with a 270.
The Southern New Hampshire men's golf team remains idle for the rest of March until continuing their schedule on April 3-4 at Tallgrass Country Club in Shoreham, N.Y. to participate in the Dowling Memorial Tournament.
