WEST CHESTER, PA. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team closed out their performance at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational on Monday. The Penmen finished with a final two-round score of 649 and finished 11th.
After an opening day team score of 336, the Penmen were able to shave 23 strokes off that total on day two, jumping over two teams in the standings. Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) posted a second-round score of 75 after an opening-round score of 81, while John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) recorded an 82 on day one and a 79 on day two. Austin Fox (Hooksett, N.H.) finished with a two-day total of 163 with Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) following with a 169. Ernie Lupi (Haverhill, Mass.) wrapped up the tournament with a 177.
The SNHU men's golf team resumes playing Sunday in the Mike Bello Invitational at Timber Oaks Country Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
