Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – Top-ranked Le Moyne College took a 4-0 lead after one quarter en route to a 13-7 Northeast-10 men's lacrosse victory Saturday afternoon over Southern New Hampshire University at Larkin Field. The Dolphins won their 12th in a row to improve to 13-1 and 11-0 in the NE-10, while the Penmen see their season come to a close at 2-13 and 1-10 in the league.
Joe Corapi and Matt Taylor each finished with four goals for the Dolphins, who got three goals from Kevin Kelly. Logan Thomas added two goals and two assists.
Southern New Hampshire was led by Cameron Joyce's (Braintree, Mass.) three goals and an assist. Jeremy Buckley (Norwell, Mass.), Keifer Heckman (Peabody, Mass.), Cameron McGuire (Melrose, Mass.) and Daniel Trainor (Billerica, Mass.) each added single tallies, with McGuire also adding an assist.
The Dolphins led 4-0 when Joyce got the Penmen on the board 1:05 into the second quarter. Le Moyne scored four straight goals to take an 8-1 lead, but back-to-back tallies by Joyce and Trainor made it 8-3. The guests took a 9-3 lead into halftime. SNHU scored two of the first three goals of the second half, pulling within 10-5 on McGuire's goal at the 7:48 mark of the third, but got no closer.
Alex Krawec played the first 55:27 in goal for Le Moyne and made 14 saves, while Crosby Nicholson (Andover, Mass.) made 12 saves in 54:02 before being relieved by Tyler Price (Northampton, Mass.), who notched three saves. The Dolphins outshot the Penmen 47-38.
