The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team holds a five-shot lead following the first round of the Le Moyne Fall Invitational.
SNHU's 315 is five shots better than Post University, with Mercyhurst University (321) third and Bentley University and the host Dolphins tied for fourth at 323.
The Penmen placed three in the top 10 after round one. Gavin Dugas (Pittsfield, Maine) sits tied for 6th at 77, one shot off a five-way tie for the lead. Josh LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) and Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) are tied for 10th at 79, while Etienne Bourgoin (Peabody, Mass.) is tied for 13th at 80.
Notes:
- Six Northeast-10 teams are in the field, with all but one school being a Division II program.
- Six of the teams competed in last years NCAA Atlantic/East Regional, including tournament runner-up Indiana (Pa.), who sits ninth.
