The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is tied for first among 11 teams at the Division II Challenge after Friday's first round.
The Penmen, who finished at 310, are tied with Le Moyne College.
Freshman Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) and junior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) are tied for fourth overall with four-over 76s, two shots back of the lead. Joshua Lacasse (Bow, N.H.) and Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) are tied for 14th at 79, while Gavin Dugas (Pittsfield, Maine) carded an 81 to sit tied for 24th among 55 players.
Notes:
- Dowling College (317), Bentley University (318) and The College of Saint Rose (323) round out the top five.
- John Clare of Le Moyne and Malcolm Oliver of Bentley are tied for first at 74, with Aidan Fuller of the Dolphins third at 75.
