Second-Lowest Score in Program History Pushes Men's Golf Past Hawks

Southern New Hampshire 291, Saint Anselm College 304

All five players in the lineup for Southern New Hampshire University carded between 72-74 as the Penmen men's golf team opened the season with a dual match win against Saint Anselm College.

Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.) and John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) led the field as they each shot two-over 72 for the round.  Freshman Gavin Dugas (Pittsfield, Maine) recorded a 73, while classmate Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) and Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) each posted a score of 74.

Saint Anselm was led by Billy Argus' 74.

Notes:
 - SNHU's 291 is tied for the second lowest team round in program history, as the Penmen posted a 291 at the 2008 SNHU Penmen Invitational.  The program record is 281, set at the 2002 Northeast-10 Championship.
 
- Austin Baker (Litchfield, N.H.), Tyler Cole (Bow, N.H.) and Ben Scott (Lexington, Mass.) competed as individuals for Southern New Hampshire.  Scott carded a 79, while Baker finished at 82 and Cole at 84.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Thursday and Friday at the Le Moyne Fall Preview at Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
